Last weekend in Boston was amazing. The Hotel ended up being absolutely gorgeous. We would have walked there since it was only right up the street from South Station but it was literally the coldest night of the year. And we didn’t get into Boston until late. Our room was the first room on the tenth Floor which is actually pretty low for the Hotel. It rocked because there was no one around us. On the right side was just glass windows over looking the city, and on the right was a fire escape exit. So we had no people on either wall.
When we got to the Hotel I changed my clothes. We walked down to the bar to look around. I didn;t end up wanting to eat there though. Rich bars and restaurants bother me because there’s never a big menu. And the food isn’t even usually very good.. All they have for drinks are martini’s, wine, or Champagne. We ended up going with the Champagne because I despise wine and if I wanted to spend 8$ on vodka I’d buy a damn BOTTLE. Not one drink. The Champagne was good. I would have been pissed if it wasn’t considering it was 14$ a GLASS. We ate clam chowder and shrimp cocktail. The only things on the menu under 35$. After that we got desert and some more Champagne.
I brought two percacet thirties because I knew my leg would be killing walking around Boston. My insurance was still shut off so I didn’t have my prescribed muscle relaxers. I ended up taking one before getting on the train there. Justin and I snorted the other at the Hotel. After that we had even more fun.
You can actually order movies in your room that are still playing in theaters! We ordered the X-Files movie because we’ve both been dying to see it. We didn’t end up watching much of it though.
We didn’t end up going to the Museum the next day after all. My Dad was being
y about picking us up at the train station any later than five. And the E train was late. We ate at Clarke’s in South Station. It’s an awesome little Irish Pub with amazing food, great drinks and super nice workers.
Since then we didn’t go out much until tonight. Tonight I finished my Christmas shopping. I am now completely in debt again.
Justin bought me an amazing purse tho! I absolutely LOVE it. It was originally 100$ but marked down to
$60. He also bought me a hello Kitty case for my Metallic Rose DS.
Brooke and Ryan came to the mall with us! Brooke and I went Christmas shopping while Justin and Ryan played in the arcade. Justin bought Ryan a new Pokemon game after in gamestop so Ryan was all excited. After that we ate dinner in this new mexican resteraunt inside the mall. The food was really good. We all had fun! Now Ryan’s playing Halo3 on my XBox 360 and Justin’s playing Ryan’s DS. hopefully Ryan will hurry up and get off XBox so Justin and I can finish watching Deadwood. He hasn’t seen it! So we’re watching my parents Deadwood DVD’s.

Yay! Justin’s coming to visit me next Friday!
He’s flying into Boston and jumping on the Commuter Rail. I’m going to pick him up at the train station. Originally I was going to meet him at the airport and we were going to spend the night in Boston. My Mom has to work though so we had to put it off a night.
We’re spending Saturday night in Boston at a Hotel right on the Waterfront. We’ll probably spend Saturday around Newbury Street. I want to show Justin all the cool shops. We’ll also probably see the rest of the Freedom Trail that we didn’t get to finish last time he was here. Depending on weather we can stand to walk around in the freezing cold that long or not. It’s supposed to only be 30 degrees all week.
I also want to do the Ghost tour if we have the time and money. I’ve lived in Massachusetts my whole life but never gone on it. They go around to all the old cemeteries in Boston and tell creepy stories. We’ll probably go out to dinner Saturday night. I kind of want to eat dinner at The Dropkick Murphy’s bar. It opened last year but I haven’t got the chance to go yet. I’m not sure about that yet though. I’m just glad we’ll get to spend some time alone at the hotel.
Sunday I think we’re going to the Museum of Fine Arts. I absolutely LOVE that place and haven’t got the chance to go in about ten years. Justin
s History as much as I do so I’d really like him to see it.
I’m so happy that I’ll get to spend Thanksgiving with him this year!
I’m in the process of recovering from food poisoning, E.coli, or Salmonella. Still not sure which. It’s been a pretty rough couple of days. Friday night I drank some old Cider Jacks figuring they’d be
since alcohol usually doesn’t go bad. How wrong was I. I only drank 4 over a period of 5-7 hours, so I didn’t even get buzzed. I was just relaxing leveling my Blood Elf Mage with Justin’s Paladin and watching Bill Maher. Before I went to sleep I started getting a really bad headache but I didn’t think anything of it.
Saturday morning I woke up with a migraine. I took some aspirin and still didn’t think anything out of the ordinary was going on. I spent most of the night learning how to use Enthusiest. Angela was kind enough to set up my Johnny Cash fanlisting and collective and teach me how to make PHP includes.
Sunday I woke up feeling a lot worse. Still had a bad headache. I spent most of the day cleaning my room. Justin and I leveled on World Of Warcraft for a while. HBO’s “True Blood” came on at 9:00 and I went to watch it like I do every Sunday. By the end of True Blood my stomach was hurting pretty bad. The rest of the night I was stuck in the bathroom with disgusting bloody diarrhea and throwing up. It lasted until last night. I couldn’t even hold down water.
I never realized how uncomfortable food poisoning actually was until I got it. It didn’t resemble the flu or a bug at all. It was more like friggin labor pains. That’s something I sure hope to never experience again.
Or maybe I should say long few days.. First off, the MRI went well. I got my results this morning from my Doctor and it isn’t a slipped disc after all. I have Degenerative Disc Disease. Which sounds worse than it looks. From what I’ve read everyone gets it eventually. usually between 30’s and 40’s. For some reason the people who get it younger experience a lot more pain. And it rare cases like mine they experience a LOT of pain along with nerve damage. Now I am supposed to schedule an appointment with a Nerve Surgeon. I’m afraid of surgery.. Especially on my damn SPINE.
I made an appointment with my Doctor for Monday to talk about other treatment options. Too bad I now have to cancel it. My insurance shut me and Ryan off today because my Mother forgot to send in our birth certificates. She said it should get turned back on pretty quick I hope she’s right because I also need a Dentist appointment. My tooth has been killing me. I wish I just had a giant bottle of percaset’s for my back and my tooth.
Today was also parent teacher conferences. It seems Ryan is having a lot of behavior problems in school that I’m not going to get into here. I already wrote a big entry about it on my parenting blog.
I started leveling a Blood Elf Mage with Justin’s Paladin on World Of Warcraft. My goal is to hit 60 in a week. We’ll see if I have enough time.
I made these videos before I bleached my hair.
Flat Ironing Straight.
This is my first tutorial, I promise they’ll get better as we go along. Also my hair is a mess atm. I’m growing it out and letting the black dye fade out so I can bleach it.
Why should You flat iron?
1. it makes even dead hair look healthy
2. it holds in color
The past few years flat ironing has been a huge craze. Yet a ton of people still don’t know a thing about flat irons. First off when buying a flat iron you want to make sure it’s ceramic. Metal flat irons will fry and destroy your hair. They also come with heat settings now to give you more options.
This is my ceramic flat iron. It’s old– about 4 years old. It doesn’t even have heat settings, but it works fine and doesn’t damage my hair.

Okay first make sure your hair is completely dry. If your hair is thin and straight you will want to blow-dry your hair with your head upside down to try and keep some body. If it’s thick and curly rightside up so it wont turn into a huge puffball. Some flat irons say they can be used on wet hair, but in my opinion it doesn’t come out as good. Also brush it first.
This is how my hair looks before being flat ironed or brushed. Eww!

Plug it in, let it heat up. They don’t take more than a minute. Some even less.
Now you have to remember to start at the root of your hair. If you start in the middle you’ll get some weird lines. Here is the basics of what you do.
It’s as simple as that. If your hair is thick course or curly you will need to go over it many times to become completely straight. My cousins hair takes over an hour. If your hair is thin and straight like mine it can be done in less than a minute!
