Religion quiz

in WOW, random on January 29, 2009 at 9:19 pm 494 words

I’m not one to usually put these things on my blog but I have always been really into studying religion. So when I saw this on Cetta’s blog I had to check it out. It’s interesting t see what your beliefs match up to. I think this came really close for me. Over all I’m agnostic, but I do lean towards more pagan ideas. Plus I find pagan religions more interesting to study since most Abrahamic religions are based all around the same things. I love learning about the old gods from Egypt, Greece, and Rome. And the gods of the Goths and Celts. Norse mythology has always interested me as well.

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa.

Update

It’s freezing out again. :( My driveway is completely covered in ice. I’m getting ready to go to the store. Debating on weather I should get alcohol or not.. I haven’t drank since before New Years.

My Blood Elf Hunter is finally 70!!! First 70 character. I’m excited. I’ve been leveling with Justin in Northrend and PVPing in battlegrounds a lot. Actually I’ve been playing WOW constantly when I’m not working or watching Ryan..

Speaking of Ryan I gave him my 60 Blood Elf Mage. The character recustomization allows you to change the sex of the character. So I changed it to a boy and moved it to his account. lol He’s been doing a lot of instances with my Death Knight and Justin’s Druid in outlands. He got from 63 to 65 doing instances with other people all by himself even.

Moneys getting a little better but not by much. I’m still pretty damn broke. :(

WOOHOO!

My desktop is back!!! And it’s fixed! yay Although it still starts up kind of slow. I assume it’s because I have 2 brand new hard drives and a new raid controller so they’re booting differently. It’s really fast once it starts. :) I have 4 gigs of RAM now instead of two. Though my 32 bit windows XP professional doesn’t register all 4 gigs. I plan to upgrade to 64 bit Windows XP professional once I’m no longer broke.

I’m installing WOW as we speak! :) Can’t wait to level Glamor, My 62 Blood Elf Hunter on Onyxia.

Now for some shit I’m not as happy about: Pasted from my parenting blog:

A few days ago I wrote about how the community that I live in was recently notified that a level 3 sex offender had just moved into the direct vicinity of my six year old sons elementary school. This man is a repeated pedophile who has been to prison twice for molesting children. The second child he molested after his first imprisonment he not only raped but also assaulted. To me this shows that the man is getting worse and more violent over time. If he assaulted the last child then what is to stop him from killing the next one to avoid being sent back to prison? Multiple studies have shown that these violent sex offenders can not be rehabilitated. There is no “cure”. Why then are they receiving such small prison sentences? And why are they being allowed to live wherever they please when they get out of prison? I don’t see how there isn’t a law stopping a repeated child rapist from living that close to a school full of children.

My friend who lives in Texas informed me that in Texas there are laws stopping child rapists from living near anywhere where children congregate. Why is it not like this in Massachusetts, or everywhere for that matter? I am usually for the rights of criminals to be able to live normal lives after they pay their debt to society and serve their time. Not when they are repeated offenders who are showing a pattern of getting worse though. Especially when it’s a crime that people can’t be rehabilitated from. I wish there was something more I could do about this then bitch on my blog.

Children

in random on January 15, 2009 at 1:06 am 330 words

Ever since I had my son I’ve always said I was done. That I wouldn’t have anymore children. To be honest I was never a kid person. Never one of those girls who picked up babies and love d babysitting. I babysat maybe once in my life.. And I hated holding peoples babies. To be honest I still do. I never understood what women enjoyed about being drooled on by somebody elses screaming kid.

My son and I are close though. I love him more than anything in the world. But having a baby at 17 was not easy. I had no idea what to do. Everything was a lot harder for me then it probably should have been. Even the simplest things I had problems with. My Mother and grandmother never failed to tell me everything I was doing wrong either. And not in the most helpful of ways.

I think that for a long time I looked at myself as a complete failure in the area of Motherhood. Sometimes I still do even though I spend every day of my life with my son. I’m just afraid deep down that I’m doing everything wrong.

Now that I’m engaged I’ve been thinking a lot about the future. And about weather or not I want more children. I realized I really do. Justin wants children as well. I just want to wait until we’re completely financially ready and living in our own place. There’s no way I will make one more human being suffer living in this shithole. I have no doubt that Justin will be amazing Dad. Ryan love s him so much. He calls him as much as he calls Chris. Yesterday he told Justin to get my name tatood on him, LOL . And today he blew him a kiss on webcam. Justin also helps me so much with him when he’s here. We all have a lot of fun together. Anyway enough rambling for now. x_x
