It doesn’t take a genius to know that the majority of people are cruel, mean, selfish, and even manipulating. No matter how many times I encounter this however it does not sink in. I end up meeting these same kinds of people over and over and even now, maybe 2 weeks away from being twenty five, I still fall for it. And I have absolutely no understanding as to WHY I do this.
I think deep down I’m an idealist. I assume everyone is trustworthy until they do something to break that trust. I assume that if I am kind, respectful, honest, and polite to others that I will receive the same treatment in return. that however, is not the case. People take that kindness and shit on it. Repay respect with disrespect and lies. they hurt people who have been nothing but kind to them for absolutely no reason whatsoever. But why? What does it do for them? Where does it get them? Other than minus one friend?
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over yet always expecting a different result. If that’s the case then who’s really insane? The liar who plays head games? Or the person who just walks into them every time with every new person they meet?
I was extremely happy to see Brad Pitt on Bill Maher last night. I wish he’d go on more often. Him being brave enough to speak up for gay marriage and the rights of people who are not religious is a giant step towards change. He’s someone people will actually LISTEN to and take seriously.
I’ve always
d Bill Maher but it’s a simple fact that the people who NEED to hear what he says never will. They just don’t take him seriously. People aren’t going to listen to you if you spend all your time offending them. Brad Pitt on the other hand is not only extremely intelligent but extremely polite as well. He says things kindly without being arrogant. THAT is how you get your point across to the other side. Not by making them even more angry.
"The freedom that allows you to practice your religion is the same freedom your’e stepping on" – Brad Pitt
"If there were a country full of gay married couples that were telling you you couldnt practice your religion id be sticking up for you too." – Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt not being religious also shows the people in our country that not all atheists are horrible people like many people would like to believe. How much money does he give to help the world? How much time and money has he put in in Louisiana trying to help rebuild? A shit ton more than most people have.
I wish he wasn’t joking about running for Governor of Louisiana. That would rock.
My computer monitor died. I’m on Ryan’s right now but he’ll want it back in the morning. I don’t know when I’ll be able to get a new one either considering I’m broke as fucking hell.
To make it even worse my phone is broken too. It got wet out at the pool and I haven’t got a chance to replace it yet. I’m really busy with packing and so is everyone else.
The new house still isn’t finished, so I don’t know exactly when I’ll be moving yet. But it better be fucking soon.
I’ve had a terrible week, and one day hasn’t passed that I haven’t wanted to get completely smashed.
