I was extremely happy to see Brad Pitt on Bill Maher last night. I wish he’d go on more often. Him being brave enough to speak up for gay marriage and the rights of people who are not religious is a giant step towards change. He’s someone people will actually LISTEN to and take seriously.

I’ve always d Bill Maher but it’s a simple fact that the people who NEED to hear what he says never will. They just don’t take him seriously. People aren’t going to listen to you if you spend all your time offending them. Brad Pitt on the other hand is not only extremely intelligent but extremely polite as well. He says things kindly without being arrogant. THAT is how you get your point across to the other side. Not by making them even more angry.

Brad Pitt not being religious also shows the people in our country that not all atheists are horrible people like many people would like to believe. How much money does he give to help the world? How much time and money has he put in in Louisiana trying to help rebuild? A shit ton more than most people have.

I wish he wasn’t joking about running for Governor of Louisiana. That would rock.

It’s election day! I’m voting for Obama this year. I really think he has a good chance to win. I hope he wins. If Sarah Palin gets her dumb ass into the White House I’m going to be quite unhappy. A lot of people are voting for Obama. Even people that don’t normally vote. Also, a lot of first time voters. His biography is on Biography On Demand. I watched it the other night. He’s a really smart guy. The thing that makes him stand out is his lack of greed. He always seems to work with people who need his help. Instead of going to Wall Street to get rich he worked on civil rights cases. Not many people would make that choice. I think that’s the kind of President we need right now. Especially with so many Americans losing their homes and dying because they have no insurance. Go Obama!!!!

My MRI is at 6:45 tonight. I’m nervous because I’ve never had an MRI before. It’s about time though.. my back has been messed up for about two years now. It messes with my leg too because of my sciatic nerve. Some days just walking hurts really bad. My Doctor won’t give me any pain killers that work either. He keeps giving me weird things. This time he prescribed me epilepsy meds. They’re nerve numbers I guess? I don’t really feel comfortable taking now that I read up on them. You’d think he could just give me Darvocet or something. Something that works! Tramadol didn’t work at all either. Plus it was dangerous to take along with my crazy meds. Anyway.. MRI tonight! :grin:
